Dhananjay Gulwadi

A senior management professional with over four decades of experience, Dhananjay most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Assarain Group of Companies, a leading family-owned business conglomerate based in Muscat, Oman. In this role, he was responsible for the profitability and operations of 14 diverse companies within the group, having a combined turnover of USD 150 million. These companies spanned sectors such as concrete precast manufacturing, contract cleaning and landscaping, frozen food distribution, retailing, insurance broking, property management, healthcare, joinery and furnishing fitouts. He also served on the Board of Modern Steel Mills, Modern Steel Rolling Mills, Ahjaar Mining, and Savills & Partners in Oman, companies in which his organisation Assarain Group, held equity stakes. Dhananjay is an avid reader, with interests in business, history and spirituality. He loves good food and does his daily dose of yoga, pranayama, and walking, to keep fit. Professionally, areas such as water conservation, energy optimization, renewables, facilities management and precast concrete, interest him. He is keen to use his over four decades of work experience, in mentoring start-ups, preferably in the above sectors and fostering their growth in India.
