Dr. Sandeep Kapur

Dr. Sandeep Kapur (54) is professor of business management at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India (PAU). He also took the responsibility of Comptroller at PAU from 2014 till May, 2020. As a professor, he has teaching, research and consultancy responsibilities in marketing and strategy areas. He has guided the research work of more than 80 MBA and two Ph.D students.  He has about 35 research papers to his credit in journals of national and international repute.

As part of the consultancy assignment, Sandeep works with various Indian organizations to develop their strategies for future growth and to improve their competitiveness. He has wide experience in the textile, garments, food and light engineering industries and as a Board Consultant and CEO Coach. He is presently President of Ludhiana Management Association.  He is appointed as a mentor by a DST sponsored incubator at Hyderabad and at PAU. He is a regular invited speaker at various national and international fora involved in business and management. He has led and delivered various international training programs on developing competitiveness of clusters using “Cluster Development Methodology”. These training programs are backed by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) to help the developing countries in improving their competitiveness.

He took his PhD in Business Administration from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India specializing in Marketing Management.  Sandeep also has a Master’s in business management from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana where he specialized in marketing management.
